Bold since '96

To celebrate 30 years of Robinson Pelham, we borrowed back some of the extraordinary jewels we created in the 90s. Shot in Mallorca as part of our Summer of ’96 campaign, these original pieces are rich with weight, colour and character.

Bold, personal and brilliantly alive, they speak to the spirit that has always defined Robinson Pelham: jewels with presence, made to be worn.

  • The JEWEL ENCRUSTED CROSS

    I remember designing the jewel encrusted cross. I remember where I sat at a friend’s house in Kent starting the initial sketches. Myriad stones are used. Amethysts, citrines, peridots, sapphires each carefully placed to enhance one another but also to provide an intricate pattern within the crucifix. Being reunited with it after all these years was so exciting. A sign of the times.

  • THE LION NECKLACE

    The lion necklace was a commission from a son to a mother. His mother was a leo hence the lion. It was such a success and so loved that she wore it everyday for 22 years. The Lions heads was hand carved and protrudes out of a circular pendant with a rim of carnelian stone. The pendant sits on a row of leopard jasper. It’s a statement piece but one that was worn comfortably and loved every day.

Multistone elephant bangle

For the multistone elephant bangle, this client has a wonderful penchant for exquisite stones and having just been on safari he wanted a piece that encapsulated the stones he had an the animals he had seen. It was the mid 90’s and he wanted something chunky yet totally unique.

This bangle comes complete with a gold and steel screw which allows you to open the sections which house the gems. There are x 4 stones in total and they can switched to suit your vibe. For example you can wear the pink rubellite with the green tourmaline or the aquamarine with the yellow sapphire etc . The bands that clasps the stones are adorned with hand carved elephants that follow each other around the piece. The bracelet has a sprung section in the middle at the back so its easy to wear and fits perfectly.
